ow I can't be without a sock on the needles, this is what jumped on. It's Knit Picks Dancing. Too much orange for me, so it was all set to live in my stash forever, when I realized it would be perfect for a baby sock. ny can I get out of TWO skeins of this yarn?) Seriously, after I finish the mate - later tonight, I'm guessing - I'm going to see how much yarn I have left. I'm sure it won't have made much of a dent. The colors are more accurate in the first photo, which is interesting, because I was sure that the redwood stain would draw out the reds and browns...See those darling little dpns at work? I'm glad there are lots of babies around right now, because guess what they're all getting for Christmas?!
I'm also betting that on a larger scale, this yarn really makes some nice stripes. I downloaded a pattern Knitpicks suggested for this yarn, back in the spring when I ordered it, but I wouldn't wear 'em. No one on my Christmas sock list would either. Sigh. Anyone love this color?

The baby socks are a great idea. I personally like the colors, too... that's what makes the world go around, all the different tastes that are out there.
Colors like those are great for the little ones.... fun and funky. I work with kids and I've come to realize that they love weird color combinations and will pick the strangest (and in my opinion u-g-l-y) colors for everything. Great idea to knit the yarn for little feet! This gives me an idea for some other sock yarn I too ordered from KnitPicks and am not thrilled with...
How cute are those socks? I think that that yarn looks perfect for baby socks. Perhaps a bit too much brown, but I really like it all the same. It looks super soft.

Love the baby socks. Sure wish I had one to knit for, but that will come with time. I started using KP metal Dp's this weekend. Fantastic! No more bent and bowed Dp's for this kid. I really didn't think I would like them, but I was wrong.
