Can't Help Myself

You know what I mean. You have plenty of yarn, but you buy more. I have lots of wool for felted bags that might never be, but I buy more. I stumbled upon this Ella Rae at Ben Franklin's Sunday, and it just had to come home with me. I'm not crazy about the Not So Sophie, for reasons I just can't define. We just aren't connecting as a bag and a woman, so I think I'm going to try another pattern with this combination. Trying Patons is something I keep saying I want to do, so I'll get to try two new yarns at the same time, because ol' Ben didn't have a solid Ella that coordinated. (And yes, I do realize that the Patons brown is richer than that in the Ella, but felting does weird things, so I'm going for it.)

I also picked up a couple skeins of this for Mugsy's first snuggle. He wanted it desperately this morning when his thoughtless mom dropped him on Dadaw's truck's COLD leather seat. I could barely drive for laughing; the pup literally stood on his tiptoes until I found a towel in the back seat and slipped it under him. Even then, it was cold, and he shivered, and I felt guilty. I even tried to reach the seat warmer (yeah, I know), but it's on the door handle, and I'm a short gal with a short wingspan, so it didn't happen. (Note to self: since you're supposedly researching your next vehicle, get one with the seat warmer controls in the center console, for Mugsy's sake.)
Anyway, the yarn. It's a mystery colorway I can't find online, in Amity, a 75% acrylic, 25% wool blend. It's yummy soft, and we're very excited about it. In fact, I considered using it for my Mr. Greenjeans until my brain engaged and I decided that Wick is the way to go. Stay tuned as I ponder colors, starting with solid vs. variegated.

I love Mr. Greenjeans pattern. That yarn might be good for it.

Poor Mugsy! Sounds like he is desperately in need of lots of snuggles, so you are justified in buying more yarn! :)

Yes definitely know about buying yarn when you don't need it! (*whispers* sock yarn) Haha!

Can't wait to see you start Mr. Greenjeans! That is really the only pattern I like in the fall knitty!
