Mandy's Candy Bag

If you're looking for a cute way to present your latest small item, or a few swap treats, here's your bag. NH Knitting Mama has released her first pattern, and I couldn't wait to try it out. The only change I made was I skipped the i-cord (Anne?) and created my first crocheted chain! (Don't look too closely.) I am in love with Peaches & Creme's Sea Mist colorway, despite how much coarser it is than the Cotton Rich. This bag might be used to present a new baby (mom's more than ready for you to come out - it's hot!) his first pair of booties, *IF* indeed it is a boy. Mom doesn't care much for pink or pastels, so I need a back-up plan, because I know someone else who is sure to love these colors.
Why are you still here?! Scoot over and tell NH Knitting Mama how much you like her pattern, and then make one of your own! She has a contest going too, so be sure to enter.

Oooo Look how nicely that striped! Very nice.

I always love the backgrounds in your outside shots- it looks like you live in such a wonderful backwoods place. :)

Thanks for the nice plug, and the bag came out awesome! I love that colorway, too.

Hope you're having a great weekend! I've done some dyeing, but ran out of supplies mid-session. Ravelry to the rescue to call on other indie-yarnies to tell me if I can substitute what I ran out of.

Chat soon, my friend!

I just started one last night. I like that color. I like the color you chose as well. I need to see if I can find it at one of the local stores.

Precious bag! Sharon just finished one, too. This seems to be a fun, popular pattern, so I guess I'll be breaking out the Sugar 'N Creme! LOL

Did you decide on a purse color yet? ;-)

Cute - it looks a lot like the bag on the cover of Last Minute Knitted Gifts.

Definitely on my list of things to make! I got the cutest little bag today too - and good idea on the i-cord, I've seen some SUPER versions of non-icorded cords lately. I'm excited :D

Love your bag and your alteration (I don't crochet) I am actually thinking of getting some pretty ribbon for my next one.

I haven't see that color Peaches & Creme before but this pattern does help it stripe nicely, doesn't it?

ah...sea mist! that's a fav colorway of P&C of mine too! In fact...I see a market bag done in that in the not too distant future! :-)
I'm going to cast on for a MCB soon.
